Ministries

Jail Ministry

We are partnering with the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association and Cleveland County Police Department  to go into our local jail in Cleveland County to minister to the inmates. The inmates remain in their cells while we share the gospel message with each of them one on one. Training is mandatory through the GCCBA.

Place: Cleveland County Annex Jail

Time: TBD (typically Sunday afternoons)

Day: Sunday (every 2 months)

Lunch Buddies @ Shelby Middle

We are partnering  with Shelby Middle School to provide mentors during lunch hours. Ministry volunteers will play games, each lunch, or read to students. Our goal and hope for this ministry is to be a Christ-like influence for the students, providing character development and guidance. It's important to us that we are able to influence the children within our community through the power of Christ-based relationship building. The lunch buddies would have three lunch slots to choose from (10:45-11:26, 11:57-12:32, 12:32-1:18). Typically, ministry workers would be asked to mentor a student at least once per week. However, other consistent schedules can be put in place depending on the ministry workers schedule.

Place: Shelby Middle School

Time: 10:45-11:26, 11:57-12:32, 12:32-1:18

Day: Monday through Friday. (whatever day works best for ministry volunteer)

Street Ministry

Our team goes door to door to pray with households near our church. We use the Three Circles and Multiply concepts to share the Gospel message with families, along with passing out bibles and other tools to deepen their walk with Christ. Throughout the year we also partner with feeding kids to deliver meals to local families as well.

Place: We meet at the HCC Shelby Campus

Time: 11-12pm

Day: Every 4th Saturday of the Month

Men's Bible Study

Facilitate men's bible study, studying the bible book by book and chapter by chapter. The goal is to create a diverse environment to take advantage of the different perspectives, world views,  experiences, and different spiritual maturity levels.

Place: HCC Shelby Campus (classroom off of Radi8 fellowship area)

Time: 7:30 am- 8:30 am

Day: Sunday

Green BethelBaptist Church food distribution

We Partner with Green Bethel Baptist Church in Boiling Springs NC, to distribute food to the community, out of their building in Boiling Springs.  Additionally, we are able to use their food program to provide groceries once a week to families in our local area, in Shelby. We also need volunteers to deliver groceries to families who have no transportation. Ministry workers can volunteer for one hour slots to assist with food distribution and delivery.

Place: Green Bethel Baptist Church ( 120 Bethel Ave, Boiling Springs, NC 28017)

Time: 11:00am-4:00 pm

Day: Every Monday & Every 3rd Tuesday

Terra Bella Assisted Living Home

We provide a church service for employees and residents once a month. Church services consist of prayer,  scripture sharing, and short 10-15 minute devotion. Additionally, we coordinate events to help reach out to residents who do not attend the Sunday service.

Place: Terra Bella Assisted Living Home (1550 Charles Rd, Shelby, NC 28152)

Time: 11:00 pm-12:00 pm

Day: Every 3rd Saturday
