Hope College
Hope College is our college ministry at HCC. We want to reach students across many campuses with the hope of the gospel, and shift the me-centered mindset of these four formative years to cultivate a community of believers dedicated to knowing God and making him known in the classroom, sports field, dorm room and coffee shop.

If you're a college student, we'd love to get to know you. And if you want to get to know us, you're in the right place! If you can't find what you're looking for here, feel free to contact our College Pastor, Chandler Young with any questions about all things Hope College!

Our Mission

At Hope Community Church, we have been blessed to have about 200 college students attending our services every Sunday. We could just take that as a win, but we believe that God has brought these students to our church for a specific purpose. We get to have them as a part of our family for 4 years and we want to make the most of it. So, we seek to be intentional with discipling and equipping these college students while they are in the most formative years of their lives.
We believe that these are not just college students, these are missionaries that will be sent all over the world in just a few short years. Our goal is to equip our college students to be able to effectively share the Gospel and Biblically teach others.

Our Goals

We believe that every student did not just go to college, but they were sent to college. We believe God has a specific plan and purpose for each student on their campus to know Him more and to make Him more known. Therefore, our mission is to engage college students and inspire them to be passionate about spreading the Gospel. While our students are in school, our goal is to have them:

-Intentionally living in Christian Community
-Learning how to effectively share the Gospel
-Serving in the local Church
-Being discipled and making disciples
-Capitalizing on opportunities to serve overseas

Our end goal is to get students to shift their perspective from WHAT they will do when they graduate to WHERE they will go when they graduate. God wants to use us for His Kingdom first and foremost, so that should be our first priority when leaving the education system.
Family Groups

You weren't made to go through college (or life) alone. Our family groups are co-ed groups of college students who are doing life together. It is our desire for all students to know that they belong and matter and in family groups we love one another and care for one another. One of the best things you can do this year is jump into a Family Group!
