Service Update - 9/13
Hello HCC Family! We wanted to give you a quick update on the status of our services for this week. We have been notified that 2 church partners were present at our 232 Main service this past Sunday, and later in the week tested positive for COVID-19. While they had no symptoms at the time, our leadership has decided to close 232 Main this week for a deep clean of the space. This means we will not have our Sunday Service there this week.
Additionally, we have been contacted by the local health department and made aware of a number of students who are connected to Hope that have also recently tested positive. While they were not present at a Sunday Service with symptoms, we wanted to share the news firstly, to rally together in prayer for all those in our community affected by the virus, and also to make sure you are informed as you decide what avenue of worship is best for you and your family.
Our team has put together a plan to ensure that we can offer in-person services at the Shelby campus this week. In communicating with our local health department, we have been assured that the steps we have been, and will continue to take, will allow us to provide a safe worship environment. That being said, we are challenging you to help us #LoveYourNeighbor by following these simple steps:
First, please be sure to maintain social distancing when at church. We know it’s hard, but choosing not to hug or handshake can help prevent any potential spread. We’ll also be asking people in separate groups to space out 6 feet while in the auditorium or overflow area. Additionally, wearing a mask or facial covering is required while indoors on campus. Finally, please continue to utilize the various sanitizing stations available in the lobby and auditorium.
Our goal throughout this pandemic has been to continue giving hope, creating community, and being the church as safely and effectively as possible. While it may be inconvenient, we ask that you partner with us and #LoveYourNeighbor by taking these simple steps so that we can continue to protect our community and worship together in person. If you’re feeling sick, may have been exposed, or for any other reason don’t feel comfortable attending, we invite you to join us at 9 and 11 am for our online services through Facebook and Youtube! We can’t wait to worship with you this week!
